She was running. She yelled, "Mom, is that man following us!" "I think so," said Liliana's mom.

The man was wearing a black coat. But what Liliana did not know was if the man was following them, or another person. So she kept running. But suddenly he disappeared. She screamed, "Did you see that?" "Yes," Liliana's mother said. Lilliana said, "I'm scared!"

They didn't see him again until Friday. They found out he was after them. She was fondling her necklace. What if he was after the mermaid scale inside her necklace?
